2013 - Sunday School has started! - See Youth Ministry below! (Come to the sanctuary with your children at 9:00AM. Parents and children will worship together upstairs in the Sanctuary at the regular church service, then after the Childrens' Sermon, children will go downstairs to the lower hall for Sunday School. Hope to see you there!)
Dec. 3 - Changewater UMC Advent Bible Study - "A Different Kind of Christmas" will be based on the book, "Christmas Is Not Your Birthday" by Mike Slaughter - 5 weeks on Tuesdays at Changewater UMC Fellowship Hall - 7:30 PM. All are welcome!

Dec. 8 - CANCELLED - Service of Lessons and Carols at Changewater UMC.
Dec. 19th, 2013 and Jan. 16, 2014 - Spiritual Thursday - 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM - at the Changewater UMC Sanctuary. Many people have difficulties during the holiday season. The cause may be some personal or family tragedy (death of a loved one, health issues, job related issues such as unemployment, stressful co-workers, etc.) or some other painful event. Spiritual Thursday provides a peaceful time and place for everyone to have an Environment to Pray, a quiet time to afford people an opportunity to create a spiritual connection with God during the Holiday season. No Service will be held. No offering will be taken. Our aim is to make an environment conducive to relieving stress, anxiety, and sadness through prayer at a time when it is needed most. All are welcome!

A Future With Hope "How you Can Help": Make checks payable to the Changewater UMC with a notation of "A Future With Hope". 50% goes to Superstorm Sandy Relief, 25% goes to Nets to fight Malaria, 25% goes to local missions. Mail to the the PO Box 11 address or bring to church and drop into the collection jars in the Sanctuary. Money will be sent in quarterly.

IHN Christmas Party - Dec. 13 at the Warren County Technical School on Rt. 57. 6:30 to 9:30pm.
Items needed the most:
Pillows, new twin sheets, baby monitors, laundry detergent, dish detergent, sponges, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, sandwich bags, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, paper towels, and toilet tissue. Anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated. Bring them to church with you on Sundays.

Refrigerated items such as meats or butter should be delivered to the First Presbyterian Church Food Pantry on Church St. in Washington Boro between 9 and 11 AM weekdays. Kindly bring your donations inside to the lower level. Non-perishable items may be brought to the Changewater Church on Sunday mornings before the service or taken directly to the Presbyterian Church.
The Lebanon Twp. Food Pantry is open at the First Aid Squad building on Hill Road once a month. We contribute to both food pantries. Bring your donations to the church on Sunday mornings. If you can help out, set-up at the township Squad Building is from approximately 9 to 11:30 AM, and distribution is the next day from approximately 8:30 to 11:30 AM. They can always use help with set-up and distribution. Dates TBA. Contact Ruth at 908-638-6661 for info. Mark your calendars and help out if you can.

BOY SCOUT PROJECT DEDICATION
Church member, Ryan, completed his project to earn an Eagle Scout award by planning and constructing a Memorial Garden in honor and memory of both his grandfather and his uncle. A special service was held at the church on October 23, 2010 to dedicate the Memorial Garden and to give Ryan special recognition for completing his project and earning this prestigious award.
